How messages are handled
This page explains, in everyday language, what the contact and performance forms ask for and what happens after you press Send.
Last updated: September 25, 2026.
What the forms ask for
Both website forms ask for your name, email address, and a message or event description. Depending on why you are contacting Oyamel, the forms may also ask for a phone number, a dancer’s age, your area of interest, event date and location, who will provide music or sound equipment, whether a stage or layout is planned, and a description of that space.
If a stage or layout is planned, you may attach a PDF or image. The website accepts PDF, PNG, JPEG, WebP, HEIC, and HEIF files up to 10 MB. The file name, file type, file size, and file contents are processed so the attachment can be delivered with the request.
Why Oyamel uses this information
- To answer questions about classes, placement, rehearsals, parent access, and other studio matters.
- To review performance availability, timing, location, sound equipment, stage safety, layout, and other event needs.
- To send you a receipt, request number, corrections, follow-up questions, or written confirmation.
- To maintain a clear email record of what was requested and what both sides later confirmed.
The website does not use submitted information for unrelated advertising or sell it.
What happens when you submit a form
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request appears legitimate. Cloudflare may process browser, device, network, and IP-address information for this security check. Oyamel receives the verification result; those security signals are not added to the inquiry email.
- The website creates a request number and uses Resend to email the submitted information to [email protected]. That address may forward the message to the studio’s working mailbox so authorized Oyamel volunteers or staff can respond.
- The website normally emails a copy and request number to the address you provided. The receipt includes the submitted details and message. An uploaded attachment is sent to Oyamel; the receipt identifies the attachment but does not send its file contents back to you.
- Oyamel may reply in the same email thread to request corrections or to summarize final performance details. Keeping replies in that thread creates a written record.
A form receipt is not a performance confirmation. A performance is confirmed only when Oyamel sends written confirmation and the requester accepts the final details in writing.
Who processes or sees the information
Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Turnstile security. Resend delivers form emails and receipts. Oyamel’s email-routing and mailbox providers deliver and store the resulting messages. Authorized Oyamel members who help answer inquiries or plan performances may see the information. These providers may keep limited security or delivery logs under their own policies.
Storage and retention
The website does not place form submissions in a separate public-facing submissions database. Email copies, attachments, receipts, and reply threads may remain in Oyamel’s mailbox and its providers’ systems while needed to answer the request, plan an event, document a confirmation, resolve questions, and maintain ordinary studio records. There is not currently an automatic deletion schedule for these email records.
Children’s information
A parent or guardian should submit inquiries for minor dancers. Please share only the dancer information needed for placement or scheduling, and do not include medical, financial, identification, or other sensitive personal information in a general message or attachment.
Your choices
You may ask Oyamel to correct or delete information from a website inquiry by emailing [email protected] and including the request number when available. Some information may need to be kept when reasonably necessary to document an agreement or meet legal obligations.
You may contact Oyamel through Facebook instead of using a website form. Facebook then handles the message under its own privacy practices.
Oyamel should update this notice whenever the forms, service providers, recipients, or record-keeping practices change.
